For starters...

This is the first time I have really tried my hand at blogging, but from what I have observed in other blogs an introductory post is in order.

This blog is the story of my trip around the world with a program called The World Race. The World Race is through a non-profit Christian missions agency. We’ll be traveling to 11 countries and spending a month in each one serving local people and doing whatever we can to be helpful and learn more about the world.

This blog is going to be about that trip. I’ll write about society, food, current events, religion, style and anything else that will capture an outsider’s impression of life in the countries I visit as well as a little bit of my own personal growth.

For starters, you’ll get a picture of my roots…where I am coming from and how that affects the way I see the world. These first few blogs will be written about my life in the Great Lakes states so you’ll know me a little bit before I set out on my journey on June 13, 2010.
